CLUB OF THE WEEK: DISCO INFERNO OVER 25s NIGHT
DRESS CODE: Smart
MUSIC: 70's hits to present day.
DJ: Johnny Starr aka Gus Bain

"We're going to play the greatest hits ever, as well as today's best music".
That's the promise from Johnny Starr, resident DJ at Sportsters, on Market Street. He's talking about the venue's new over-25's night. Disco Inferno, which launches tomorrow, and runs every Saturday thereafter.

"The aim is to take people back to their youth by playing music videos of the 70's, 80's and 90's, bringing back good memories as well as playing their favourite chart tracks. There are a number of things that makes Disco Inferno different, but the main one is the visual aspect of the evening. Because Sportsters has 30 screens, we will play music videos from the 70's to the present charts. We will also display pictures, taken on the night, of our customers on these screens, as well as images of classic TV shows, album covers aand other things guarenteed to have memories flooding back."

In real life, larger than life DJ Johnny Starr is better known as Black Diamond FM's Gus Bain, he adds, "It's going to be a guaranteed blast from the past with the visual delight of classic retro music videos, drinks promotions as well as a free text service to request a song."
